LifeKids hosts a variety of programs that allow your children
to experience our mission of KNOW, GROW, and GO
in ways they can understand.
From our weekly Blast Zone programming, to summer camps, or seasonal
parties, learn about the special events LifeKids has planned for your family!
What We Do Each Week
Our nursery area consists of two classrooms: Milky Way (newborn – crawling) and Moonwalkers (walking – 2 1/2). Both rooms have loving adults to care for your children and age-appropriate toys.
Preschool children attend one of two classes. Roarin’ Rockets is our classroom for children ages two and a half through three years, while next door, four and five year olds (not in Kindergarten) participate in Cosmic Cadets. Children experience play time, kid-friendly worship music, a snack, and discover many Bible stories for the first time. We use curriculum by Gospel Light for this age group, which allows us to not only introduce Bible stories, but teach children important truths (such as “God loves you”).
Elementary (Kindergarten – 5th Grade)
Our elementary children are split between three classrooms: Shooting Stars (K-1), Blazing Comets (Grades 2-3 – the “blue” room), and Crew 45 (Grades 4-5 – the “orange” room). Our elementary-aged children begin service with community-building time, allowing them to connect with new friends. All three classrooms join together for energetic worship and interactive and creative Bible teaching through drama or video. We use ReThink Group’s 2:52 Basics curriculum as the basis of our lessons, as each month we explore a different theme/virtue (such as love, kindness, humility). After large group time, children also participate in age appropriate activities or games to help kids apply what they’ve learned to their lives.
Re-Entry Zone (4yrs old – 4th Grade)
For parents who serve at LifeChurch or are attending a class held during service times, we offer the Re-Entry play area for elementary aged children. Once a child has attended one of our BLAST Zone experiences, they can attend Re-Entry rather than attend a second service experience. Our Re-Entry room includes toys, video games, movies, crafts, snacks, and a fun-loving adult to monitor your child’s play time.
Shining Stars (Special Needs programming)
Shining Stars is our developing program for children with severe learning challenges. Our small leader/child ratio enables individual learning opportunities for each child. Children with less severe learning or physical challenges are welcomed in their age-appropriate classrooms, and receive additional support as required. To discuss whether your child would benefit most from the Shining Stars or their age-appropriate class, please contact our Director of LifeKids, Sarah Canfield. To ensure appropriate staffing, please let us know when you are coming.
